Taking time-out to meet friends for coffee can be very refreshing, in more ways than one. In the fast-paced 21st Century lifestyle, such leisurely oases are special. Trust you enjoy them too.
The town, where I currently reside in Somerset, UK, is bubbling with eating places… in fact 150 are currently listed on Trip Advisor. Of course, I’ve not managed to visit them all… yet… but have several that I really enjoy. The managers are now special friends. I seek to encourage them along the way whenever I can. Have highlighted some of them in Coffee Shops with a Difference elsewhere on this website.
Having an interest in literature, you can imagine that I enjoy the coffeshops that have library shelves as part of their décor. Several have newspaper and magazine shelves. These are useful for the leisurely lunch. In some locations in the UK, the public libraries have coffeeshops onsite. I find these very welcome also. The libraries in Winchester and Lewisham, in the UK, have such facilities.
It’s been a hobby of mine for a while now, over several decades to visit coffee shops in countries far and near. I enjoy the variety and especially the creativity of such venues.
