The Jubilee Celebrations were very special. They were colourful and of amazing variety. The Thames Pageant was excellent and as someone involved in the maritime world it was special.
This week I received an email from friends in Australia sharing with me that their grandson had been in the group of singers that performed in front of the Royal Barge at the end of the Pageant. They did a great job in spite of the rain. Of course the grandparents were excited to see it all. There is a musical tradition in the family as the grandmother has held the post of national representative of the Royal College of Music in Australia.
I’m sure there are many treasured memories of being part of the celebration that will be recalled through the coming years. Maybe you have some to share.
