TRAFFIC INNOVATIONS
Travelling in the UAE recently, it was refreshing to see so many innovations to make the travellers' life more enjoyable. One creative idea was the red and green light scheme in a large shopping mall carpark just below roof-level and visible immediately one enters the indoor carpark indicating where the vacant bays were i.e. the green lights. Thus as you drive into the carpark, one quick look will reveal where the empty bays are - a very practical service to the driver.
Another green light indicator was at traffic lights, the green flashes a few times before the orange thus giving extra time and precaution. This gives just that extra safety zone for travellers.
A further very driver-friendly road scheme is the U-turn options at multi-traffic light junctions. I find this an excellent facility that keeps one moving at traffic junctions.
Such small but detailed additions seem to be really client-care related.
