Table for Two

Table for Two

Providing creative environments for developing relationships, building friendships and nurturing long-term partnerships is a delightful experience. A young South African couple, with a passion for enriching their friends' lives, was inspired to organise "A Table for Two" project. They set up a mini artistic restaurant-style environment in their home to host couples for a special anniversary or celebration. Such evenings were much appreciated as couples were treated to a multi-course meal in very pleasant surroundings at the host's home.

Several themes could be developed to bring much pleasure to the guest-couples and could also be slanted towards a funding generation concept to enrich the lives of those struggling to survive around the world. The idea could be further shaped to include different types of cuisine.  The décor could also reflect the various cultures thus enhancing the evening.

There is really no end to the variations on this theme, which could be extended to a "Table for Four", "An Indian Night" "A Chinese Evening" "A Melanesian Experience"  etc. The host family found great enjoyment in organising the evening and welcoming folk into their home. Hospitality is very much "alive and well" in South African culture and this creative innovation is a good example of it....

Why not try it out for your funding project......
