Partnership            Partnerships

In a Pacific Island port city, a visiting project was seeking a suitable venue for their colourful, two hour, International Cultural Presentation.  During careful research, it was discovered that the best location was a large sports stadium.  Although more than adequate in size and location, challenges were encountered. Firstly, the location was not served with public transport in the evenings and secondly was the cost of the venue plus a major advertising promotion would be necessary to ensure that adequate folk attended to cover operational costs.

After some creative thought, a brilliant plan emerged….  A visit to the City Administrator's office revealed that the capital city government would like to be involved.  They would be willing to provide transport in the shape of buses, which would be free for use in the evenings. The international organisers discovered that the City Hall was also actively seeking funding for a very worthy cause, the provision of a new Heart Machine for the general hospital in the city.

Combining these factors, you can imagine what happened. A well-known international beverage company was willing to take care of the publicity, if part of the ticket-price could cover the highly reduced costs of a promotional can of their latest cold drink. The ticketing was split three ways, part to the beverage company, part as donation to the Heart Machine project and the rest to the organisers.  Everyone was involved and everyone reaped a benefit.

Excellent partnership in action......
