Team Generosity
One Saturday morning, I experienced a special time at a local coffee shop. (Some of you know that I have a fascination for Coffee Shops) What made it special? Well, as I walked past folk enjoying their coffee around tables outside the cafe, I noticed a good friend, Jasmine and her guide dog Mr Darcy. So I greeted them. They both know my voice well. Then I realised that a friend, whom I had met an hour ago at a Men's Breakfast, was there too and as I sat down to join with them, others joined us one by one until the table was full. As I came to know each one, I realised this was quite a special group.
Each person lived with different major "challenges" sight deficiency, complex relationships, physical restrictions aided by an electric wheelchair and mental challenges. What richness of life experiences. They meet weekly to encourage one another and have a chat over coffee. What an amazing example of Team Generosity. Over the past year or so they have come to know one another well. Thus meeting over a coffee is an excellent way to share friendship and encourage one another.
True generosity displayed in a group setting.
They have become a "special team"…..
