Gardens of Delight 
While travelling throughout the country, one comes across a wonderful variety of well kept private gardens. Many of these display much care and creativity. The results are often stunning and arresting. As I admire the beauty and think about all the tender-loving-care that has gone into their development, I've thought of an idea to say "thank you" to the owners in a different kind of way.
The plan would be to work in partnership with a local Garden Centre that would provide discount vouchers that could be presented to the owners of these specially attractive gardens.
This would have a two-fold effect:-
(a) Bring encouragement and a sense of being appreciated to the owners
(b) and also advertising potential with possible future business to the Garden Centre involved.
Maybe you have other ideas for such community enhancement and encouragement. If so then we would be pleased to hear about them....
One charity arranged an open gardens day in their area. Entry was ticketed and the funds generated were used to bring relief and joy to youngsters overseas. It worked well and brought much joy to those who took part. Check here.
